I feel that recently with registration coming soon everyone is frazzled discussing classes, myself included.
I was hoping to graduate from college on time and with two minors. Now, that I have looked through my classes and the ones I need to take thats literally impossible. I would have to take like 5 summer classes (which I dont think is possible), and still have some semesters where I take 6 classes (also fairly impossible).
Its just crazy. Also, there are classes within my major that EVERYONE needs and yet they are only offered in one or two sections in one or two time slots and sometimes they are only offered in the fall?
My parents do not fully understand any of these troubling scenarios. They fully expect me to graduate on time because they are not paying or contributing to pay or taking out ANY more loans after my four year allotted education.
I now need to drop one of my minors, and simply pray that I can manage to get everything I need done in the next three semesters in order to leave this school in a timely manner- otherwise I could literally be here forever.
I'm sure a great deal of other students feel the same.
I was a theatre major with a minor in communications, but after I saw that no one graduating with a degree in theatre was getting a job, I decided to make that minor my second major. And now I'm going to be here for an extra semester at least. I'm paying for school by myself and I was a little upset at first, but with the way the job market is, I really think the extra major will help with the job process (at least I hope so!)
